Alex Lambert was one of the stars to turn out in LA yesterday to inspire social change.
The Pepsi Refresh Project to empower individuals and communities to create positive social change throughout the world is in action in Los Angeles, where it brought together KIIS FM & the break-through series IF I CAN DREAM from the creators of AMERICAN IDOL, to give inner-city youth at the South Central community center A Place Called Home the “back-to-school” party of a lifetime.
IF I CAN DREAM is designed to open up Hollywood and democratize the dream of “making it” by empowering a new generation of aspiring artists to follow their dreams. Pepsi challenged the DREAM artists who are ambassadors for the Pepsi Refresh Project to come up with an idea that would help create positive change in Los Angeles. They have committed to supporting A Place Called Home where they are empowering an entire community to fuel even greater change, in part through a $10,000 donation from the Pepsi Refresh Project to plant a community garden that will launch a “garden-to-table” program with the children learning to prepare and cook healthy meals on-site with vegetables they grow in their garden.

Gabby Estep and Emma Hartman's crafty accessories are helping the planet--one bow at a time.
Last spring, Gabby Estep and Emma Hartman discovered colorful duct tape at a craft store and started experimenting with designs in their free time. Gabby, thirteen, crafted a pink hair bow and wore it to dance class, where it was a huge hit. The next day she and Emma, fourteen, grabbed some extra tape Gabby had in her locker and made more bows in study hall. Realizing they could parlay their creativity into positive change, the girls decided to sell the bows and donate the proceeds.

Hello to all my lovely column readers!
How are you all doing today? I hope you are having a great week!
So I went shopping at Macy’s a few days ago because they were having a huge sale! (Seriously amazing; tops, jeans, shorts, and dresses for all around $5 each!!!) While shopping, I came across two great clothing lines for teen girls! One is designed and inspired by Jessica Simpson, the sweet southern girl. And the other by Madonna, the uniquely-styled rocker from the 80’s.

Hey Fabulous Food readers!!! I thought that I would write my article on something that we can all enjoy a few more times before summer is over…since it will be ‘cold’ soon. That thing is frozen yogurt!!! This delicious dessert is fat free, and has endless possibilities! One particular place that I think serves it up the best is Yodigity.

I'm afraid I don't have a regular review this week; I'm too busy reading the final Hunger Games novel!
If you're even a little into young adult books, chances are you've heard of The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Today, the third and last book in the trilogy, Mockingjay, came out. I've been reading it pretty much all day since I got my copy in the mail, so hopefully next week I'll have a full-fledged review for you. So far, I'm liking it a lot!

Hey Everyone! How are you? This week I want to talk about something VERY important -- time management! This will definitely help you the older you get -- junior high, high school, college and beyond! What is time management? Exactly how it sounds: learning how to manage your time! It's easy to slack off and just ~go with the flow~ but when it comes to important things (like classes, homework and working) you need to have enough time to get where you need to go and to do what you need to do before the next thing on your agenda :) First, Write out what you have to do. Chronologically would be the best but you can write it in whatever way works for you. Once you've written that all out, organize it in a way that you'll understand.

Hey there, readers!
Today I am going to tell you how to get an awesome make-up look that is easy and of course, gorgeous! It uses peach, gold, and pink tones to really make your skin glow. So have fun with these tips because you can always suit them for what you think is best for you!
The first thing you're going to do is find a shimmery, peachy eyeshadow and apply it all around your eye. Really accent the inner corner of your eyes with this light and shiny eyeshadow because it will really make your eyes pop. Lightly go over the peach with a light gold eyeshadow and apply more to the outer corner of your eye for contrast (Or you can blend the two together and apply the combination to your lids). Last, curl your eyelashes and apply mascara. Now you're done with your eyes!

Make Wishes Come True!
Ashley Tisdale and Seventeen help make sick kids' dreams happen through Make-A-Wish.
Ashley Says:
Why it matters to me
"Kids from Make-A-Wish, a nonprofit that fulfills dreams for seriously ill kids, came to the set of High School Musical as often as possible. Knowing that I could lift the spirits of kids who were sick and in pain felt so good that I started inviting the kids to visit me all the time. Now I always set aside time for children from Make-A-Wish no matter where I am. I love making people laugh, and these children spend so many days inside hospitals that they just want to forget about their problems for a few hours. It's exciting to see a kid who has been through so much take a break and just have fun."
